Refugee author Alan Gratz will be at Mill Valley Middle School on Friday to talk about his new book, Grenade. Come to the library to get a pre-order form if you would like to buy a copy signed by Alan Gratz; the deadline for pre-orders has been extended! Book Passage will donate a portion of the sales to the MVMS library.

Attention 8^thGraders: The Ropes Course Field Trips continue TODAY. 8^th Graders will attend with their Panther Time teachers. Check the notices in the 8^thGrade pod if you have questions about what day you are going. TODAY the following Panther Time classes will attend: Lloyd, Pearson, Manwaring, Lisker. You should wear tennis shoes or hiking boots, comfortable pants, sweatshirts and dress in layers for changing weather. You also need to bring your own lunch, a water bottle and a positive attitude!

Attention read-aloud fans: Ms. Palmer will continue to read Refugee aloud during morning recess in the library all week. Feel free to join us!

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT PHOTO RETAKES, PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY:

TOMORROW, October 11^th is Photo Makeup Day. All 8^th Graders who are on the Ropes Course Field Trip on Thursday (Panther Time with Flatland, Eagle, Zeisler or Rachel Hudson) and who have not had their picture taken yet or who have paid the re-take fee and want to have their photo retaken should COME TO THE PHOTO AREA OUTSIDE THE LIBRARY BETWEEN 8:00 AND 8:30AM TO HAVE THIS DONE BEFORE THEY LEAVE. All other 8^th graders and students who are having their pictures taken for the first time or retaken will be called down during the day on Thursday. If you want a retake you must either have booked one through the Mugsy Clicks website OR you must bring a $10 check payable to Mugsy Clicks to school on Thursday. Staff members who did not have their photos taken yet may do so at their convenience on Thursday.

All Students please power down your cell phones or other personal electronics NOW and put them in your backpack until the end of the school day.
