“A word of kindness is seldom spoken in vain.”
Remember that THIS WEDNESDAY is
International Walk to School Day – all who walk, bike, skate or scoot to school
will get a treat at the front of school and can enter our drawing for a
beautiful, blue Alite backpack designed to carry sports equipment and
more. Don’t miss out on the biggest day of the year with tens of
thousands of students walking and biking to school in Marin County.
Attention 8th
Graders: The Ropes Course Field Trips begin TODAY. 8th Graders will
attend with their Panther Time teachers. Check the notices in the 8th
Grade pod if you have questions about what day you are going. TODAY the
following Panther Time classes will attend: Aquino, Iyer, Leonard and Green. You
should wear tennis shoes or hiking boots, comfortable pants, sweatshirts and
dress in layers for changing weather. You also need to bring your own lunch, a water bottle and a positive attitude!
Attention
read-aloud fans: Ms. Palmer will
continue to read Refugee aloud during morning recess in the library all
week. Feel free to join us!
Thursday, October 11th
is Photo Makeup Day. All 8th
Graders who are on the Ropes Course Field Trip on Thursday (Panther Time with
Flatland, Eagle, Zeisler or Rachel Hudson) and who have not had their picture
taken yet or who have paid the re-take fee and want to have their photo retaken
should COME TO THE PHOTO AREA OUTSIDE THE LIBRARY BETWEEN 8:00 AND 8:30AM TO
HAVE THIS DONE BEFORE THEY LEAVE. All other 8th graders and students
who are having their pictures taken for the first time or retaken will be
called down during the day on Thursday. If you wish to have a retake, you must go
onto the Mugsy Clicks website and pay the $10 retake fee by Tuesday, October
9th. After Tuesday, if you want a retake, you must bring a $10 check payable to
Mugsy Clicks to school on Thursday. Staff members who did not have their photos
taken yet may do so at their convenience on Thursday.
All Students please
power down your cell phones or other personal electronics NOW and put them in
your backpack until the end of the school day.
