What's up MVMS? Student Council has some exciting news for you.
Halloween was a hoot, you have piles of candy...now what should you do?
You can't eat them all because that would be bad.
You can't stash them all because mom will be mad.
What does one do with a problem like this one?
We have an idea that is generous and fun.
Donate your candy and new toothbrushes to the US military,
so that everybody can have a Halloween that is happy and merry.
Bring your candy and new toothbrushes to Mr. Doyle or Ms. Thebaut by November 7
so this Halloween everyone can have a bit of candy heaven.

Students, at this time all cell phones and electronics need to be turned off and in your backpack.

The question is not whether you are frightened or not, but whether you or fear is in control... The correct thing to tell yourself is, 'If I do get frightened, I will stay in command'.

"A man's manners are a mirror in which he shows his portrait."

Hello Problem-Solving Panthers:  Announcing the AMC8 Math Contest.  This is a national, 25-question, 40-minute middle school multiple choice written exam in math.  The top 3 students for each grade will receive Certificates for Outstanding Achievement.  Registration is open until tomorrow.  There is a $5 fee, and scholarships are available.  The contest will be Wednesday, November 16, during Panther Time.  Space is limited to the first 60 students who talk to Ms. Peets or Ms. Ferreira.

Do you need some new socks that will raise money to buy a prosthetic limb for someone who is in need?  Limbs is here - a non-profit organization that will raise awareness and money to buy limbs and change a person's life.  You can help by buying your own pack of (3) pairs of socks for $12.  They are stylish and comfortable and will help change a person's life.

Hey 7th & 8th Graders, your DJ Georgia Smith will be taking requests for school appropriate songs to be played during lunch on Fridays and each morning. Any student may drop a suggestion in the marked box in the library.
