8th graders: Today you are participating in Building Community Day.  All 8th graders will be at the community center and in the gym in various community-building activities.  Please bring your lunch with you. If you ordered Choice Lunch, it will be delivered to you at lunchtime.

Rubik's Cube Club is meeting at lunch TODAY in Ms. Peets' room 36. If you already know how to solve the cube or are interested in learning, bring your good cheer! 

Hello Problem-Solving Panthers:  Announcing the AMC8 Math Contest.  This is a national,  25-question, 40-minute middle school multiple choice written exam in mathematics.  The top three students for each grade will receive a gold, silver or bronze Certificate for Outstanding Achievement.  Registration is open until this Friday, October 28.  There is a $5 fee and scholarships are available.  The contest will be on Wednesday, November 16, during Panther Time.  Space is limited to the first 60 students who talk to Ms. Peets or Ms. Ferreira in Room 33.

Hey! Do you need some new socks that will raise money to buy a prosthetic limb for someone who is in need? Well, never fear, limbs is here! Limbs is a non- profit organization that will raise awareness and money to buy prosthetic limbs, and change a person's life. You can help, by buying your very own pack of three pairs of socks, for $12. They're stylish and comfortable, and will help to get Limbs another step closer to changing a person's life! This week is your last chance, so hurry up and save a life!

Tuesday, October 25th the Cross Country Team will have their final Championship Meet at McInnis Park. We look forward to a great end of the season race!!  Go Panthers!! 

 

Hey 7th &  8th Graders, your DJ Georgia Smith will be taking requests for school appropriate songs to be played during lunch on Fridays. Any student may drop a suggestion in the marked box in the library. 

Students remember the building is closed until the first bell at 8:35am when the morning music begins!

TODAY is the last day to qualify for Thursday's Grand Pig Prix, so come on out to the Pig Races at lunch in the 7th grade lunch area. Repeat: today is the last time we will race pigs until the big one on Thursday. You can still turn in raffle tickets and money TODAY and tomorrow. Top sellers will be announced Thursday and will get to throw a pie at Mr. Nelson on Friday. You don't want to miss that! See you at the races!
