All proceeds will benefit Homeward Bound, the main provider of housing and services to the homeless right here in Marin County. Two great ways to participate: First you can bring store-bought treats on Friday to the bin at the front desk and second you can bring a little cash and buy some great treats at lunch between the 7th & 8th grade areas and after school by the pickup lane or the KIDDO! sculpture. That’s this Friday!

And….If you’d like to join the Interact Club, come to the first meeting next Tuesday, November 7th at lunch in the multimedia room!

Make a trip to the Lost & Found and see if it’s in there before everything is donated at the end of the trimester. PARENTS- Seriously, there are so many expensive articles of clothing, lunch boxes and water bottles here. If you haven’t seen that hoodie on your kid lately, you might want to accompany them to the Lost & Found and take a look for it!

Today is a day off for racing Bacon Bits, Panther Kitties and Top Dogs, but it’s still a raffle sales day! Keep selling and then get your batteries in your racers and race on Thursday and Friday at lunch! Will you be one of the top 3 winners in each grade with the ‘once in a middle school lifetime’ chance to throw a pie at Mr. Nelson? Top sellers also get to skip class and have lunch at Grilly’s or Super Duper and win cool prizes like a drone, instant camera or skate board. Check the poster at the bottom of the stairs to see who is in the lead and which Panther Class will get an ice cream party and lunch for their teacher. Get out there and sell Panthers!

The Marin County Public Health Office advises that people remain indoors with limited physical exertion. Please take care and be safe.

Over 50 percent of our students WALK or BIKE to school making MVMS a leader in Marin County with active transportation.  To celebrate and encourage all students to enjoy our newly renovated bike paths and lanes, Student Council will host our first event of the year “iWalk” next Wednesday, October 11.th Yummy treats will be handed out to those who use their feet to travel to school.  Join us at our welcome table before school starts!

There is space for 20 students, first come, first served and you must be in the conference room by 12:25pm. Ipad use at lunch by any other students and for any other purpose is not allowed.
