The Mill Valley Parade Committee is seeking student essays – 500 words or less – on any topic that has to do with Memorial Day (family history of military involvement, service to the country, Memorial Day memories, etc.).
Two to three essays will be selected and these students will get to read their essays at the start of the parade, and then ride on a special opening vehicle in the front of the parade.  It is a big honor!!

Did you know that every year, 225,000 people rely on food from the SF Marin Food Bank? The food bank supports seniors, veterans, students, and families. May 2nd through the 16th bring canned food to school to donate! This year, since it’s 2018, our school goal is to collect 2018 pounds of food! We can do it with your help. Please support our community! Bring your non-perishable food to your first class of the day which can then be dropped off to Mr. Doyle room 3 or Ms.Thebaut room 92. Please no glass containers.

Flower lovers! May Day is almost here and TODAY at lunch interested students are invited to create bouquets for seniors in our community for distribution tomorrow. Come to the Staff Room at lunch TODAY arrange bouquets and pick up a field trip permission slip so that you can deliver these stunning arrangements to The Redwoods seniors at lunch tomorrow.

Spring is here and it’s time to spread cheer! Remember to bring in small vases by Monday, April 30th. We also need flowers, either purchased or shared from your garden, on Monday. Collection containers for both flowers and vases are in the front office. Interested students are invited to help create beautiful bouquets for seniors in our community on Monday and help deliver them on Tuesday to residents at the Redwoods. Join us on Monday at lunch in the Staff Room to help out!

Only three days until May Day!
This year, we are excited to announce that May Day participating organizations this year include our neighbors, the Redwoods, residents of the Fireside Apartments, Windchime Memory Care of Marin, Aegis of Marin, Aegis of Corte Madera. You can support seniors in our community by getting involved this year. Donate a vase from your home, which will be lovingly repurposed into a beautiful bouquet. Bring your donated vases to the collection box in the front office all this week and begin thinking about donating flowers from your garden or from your favorite flower spot next Monday.

Hey Retro Gaming Club! The Tetris tournament is today after school in the multipurpose room! If a contestant does not show up, there is no retake or consolation prize! Hope to see you there.

Your vase will be repurposed into a beautiful and memorable gift to seniors in our community. You can also come next Monday, April 30th at lunch and help arrange gorgeous bouquets with us, with flowers donated from Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and perhaps even from your garden! Thanks to everyone who participated in our Endangered Species Door Decorating contest!  It was a very difficult decision because there were so many amazing creations! Student Council will announce grade level winners just before dismissal TODAY. Enjoy your Spring Break and we hope you can keep the decorations on until April 23rd in recognition of Earth Day. 

Our Annual Go Green Challenge wraps up TODAY and Student Council will announce the raffle winners just before dismissal. There will be one Go Pro and nine gift cards awarded! Keep walking, biking, skating, carpooling, and taking the bus, every day to go green!


Hello Students and Parents: The weather is still unpredictable, and you’ll probably need that raincoat, sweatshirt and water bottle again soon- maybe even over Spring Break! Stop by the Lost & Found and see if any of your wayward items are waiting for you.

Seventh Graders.  This is a reminder that your WEB Leader applications are due the first Friday, April 20th, after spring break. Remember you must get teacher recommendations, so be sure to plan in advanced. If your application is ready before break, you can bring it to the front desk.

You heard that right,  for a chance to WIN a go pro write your name on your go green challenge card and turn  it in at lunch TODAY during  biker blender challenge. We will also be giving out smoothie samples!

March Madness 2018 is HERE! Come to the gym after school on Wednesday and join your friends and teachers in the fun! Coach and basketball champion Jennifer Azzi will be there to kick off the event and cheer you on! There will be participant gifts and raffle prizes! Top fundraisers will receive a gift from Boys Against Breast Cancer. Bring you Panther Pride and come join this important event! It promises to be the best March Madness ever!
