“There is not shortcut
to achievement. Life requires thorough preparation.”
Hey students, we are
holding our first community service event of the year! On Wednesday, October 24th
at lunchtime in the conference room, come help make hygiene kits made up of
toiletries and other supplies during our HELP THE HOMELESS event! You
and your parents can donate if you haven’t already… there is a Signup Genius in
the Panther Press.
Climate
change is one of the most pressing issues facing our planet. The warming planet is responsible for weather
changes that have increased the frequency and intensity of storms, caused persistent
droughts in some regions, and resulted in rising sea levels that will force
millions of people to move. We have to
take steps now to face the challenges of a warmer planet. What can you do? What will you do? We live in One World…Join the club…
Did
you like reading about Isabel, Mahmood and Joseph? Come to the library at lunch
on Friday where Mr. Maldonado will share his own story. He was a refugee who
had to escape Guatemala when he was just five years old. The library will be
open for students attending Mr. Maldonado's talk or for quiet reading and
homework Friday, but closed for games.
Calligraphy reminder! Class will
meet in room 36 at 7:30am on Wednesday!
Attention all 7th graders:
If you are interested in playing in the
lunch football league, please sign-up in Room 85 during Recess and Lunch. Any
questions please see Mr.O’Dea.
