There is NO FOOD allowed
on the field. Students must eat their lunch first, then they may go to the
field. Students seen leaving trash on the field will be placed on trash duty.
Students: Do you like
the outdoors? And do you understand people? How good are you at advertising? Have
you ever thought of going into a career that combines all of these? Then come
to our Brown Bag Lunch this Friday in the multimedia room at lunch to hear from
Mark Riedy, a public relations manager, who combines his love for the outdoors
with his passion for advertising into an exciting career in media relations.

Are you interested in the MVMS Robotics team? If you’d like to be a part of robotics come to a mandatory informational meeting today, Wednesday, at lunch in the multimedia room. Tell your friends, bring your lunch, and come learn about the robotics team on Wednesday.
Calling all Math Superstars! We want you to represent MVMS in the national AMC 8 math contest. If you are interested, please sign the sheet on your grade lever bulletin board. See your math teachers for details. High scoring students are invited to participate in the AMC 10.
Do you have an Instagram, snapchat,
or ask FM account? Have you ever been involved with bullying on
social media? Did you know that 42% of kids have been bullied online, and 35%
of kids have been threatened? If that's not
enough, 90% of teens who have seen bullying online ignored it. Beyond Differences wants your
help to make a difference and encourages you to be the change that you want to see. Tomorrow, Thursday, October 22nd, is National Be Kind Online Day! We will be sending a petition to your Panther Time classroom
to ask kids to take the pledge to be kind online. Stickers will be given out to
those who step up and sign up to be kind online.
MVMS basketball sign ups for all students in all grades will happen next Monday 10/26, Tuesday 10/27, and Wednesday 10/28 in Ms. Palmer'r
classroom 84 at lunch!! You must sign up to try-out!!
Another big
congratulations to our X-Country Team on their success at our 2nd meet at China
Camp. There were 400 runners who all did amazing on this new course!
Alana Concannon was
consistent - coming in 5th place again and Maddie O'Keefe was right behind her
placing 7th for our 6th grade girls. Great job to both Jessica Tempero and T.J. Hill who
finished strong in the top 20 for all 6th grade girls.
Caden Carney lead our
6th grade boys with an amazing 3rd place finish with Emmet Kneafsey and
Jake Moore crossing the finish line in the top 20 as well.
Callum Lavezzo moved up
one spot this meet coming in 3rd place for our 7th grade boys. Overall for both 7th
grade girls and boys we had many top 20 runners! Great job to Lou
Sherwood, Haley Randel, Joshua Chertok, Alex Frankel. Luther Fong, and Braden
Osborn.
Samantha Sternfels ran
the course in 8 minutes flat and placed 1st again for our 8th grade girls. Summer Soloman was strong right behind her placing 4th. Lily Weiland and Lily
Bowman coming in for our top 20 girls.
Last, but not least, Paul
Law did it again - coming in 3rd with a 7:03 for our 8th grade boys with Rohan Sanda, Duncan
Labeeuw-Anderson and Cade Smith placing in the top 20 8th grade boys.
Again, we are proud of
all our runners representing Mill Valley Middle School. Their commitment
and dedication is seen and appreciated. We look forward to our
Championship Meet this Thursday at McInnis Park!! Go Panthers!
