Does anyone out there like lollipops?  Yes, lollipop sales are back.  Listen up, because this is your first chance this year to hear about the sale of lollipops to help raise funds for the WEB program.  Our first lollipop sale will be today at lunch in the outside area behind the library between the Earth and Sun pods.  It won’t be the last sale, though, so if you don’t have the $1.00 for a lollipop today, start saving up for the next one - coming soon.


Time to pick up your pig!  Turn in your tickets TODAY during lunch in the 7th/8th grade lunch area.  Top Panther Time classrooms so far are:  Iyer, Nicholson, Fischer, Eagle, Schostak, Lisker.  For individual sales results, check the boards up in the pod areas. Tomorrow, Wednesday October 7, is International Walk and Roll to School DayStudent Council will be handing out treats in the front of the school for all students who walk, bike, scooter, or skateboard to school.  This is the largest day of action at Mill Valley Middle School, in Marin County, and in the world.  Remember, if you live too far, get dropped off so you can walk part way. So everyone, join in and let’s make a difference by “going green” to school tomorrow.


Hey MVMS students, do you want to have your song played during lunch on Fridays? During the daily morning music?  There is a box in the Library where you can submit your song requests. Just write down the name of a song and artist and you could hear your request during the morning music or at lunch on Fridays!
 

Club News

Mathletes Club will meet at lunch today in Ms. Ferreira's room (room 33) in Upper Sun .  Bring your lunch and enthusiasm. 

Are you interested in being a better speller?  Do you like competing in word games?  Then join the Spelling Bee club and meet us in Room 32 on Tuesdays at lunch, starting today.  We will prepare for the regional fall spelling bees until Winter Break, then after that we will play word games of your choice.  See Mrs. Gough in Room 32 at lunch today for more information.


Yearbook Club meets today, Tuesday, during lunch in Mrs. Fischer's room 31. Everyone who turned in their application should attend.


Beyond Differences Leaders – applications are now past due and there are only three spots left for the retreat! If you are still interested in going on the leadership retreat, turn in your application to your counselor  ASAP.
Calligraphy Club will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:15am - please note the time correction.

Calling all lovers of scary stories and adventures! The MVMS Book Club will read “Doll Bones” in October! A creepy book about three kids who must put a ghost to rest, Doll Bones is perfect for Halloween. Check it out the from the library and read chapters 1-5 for our first meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, in Room 1 at lunch.
