“A thief is a thief,
whether he steals a diamond or a cucumber.”
Is
March Madness on your calendar? It’s
next Wednesday, April 4th right after school! Come to the gym and shoot
free throws to raise money for breast cancer research. Everyone is
invited-whether you play basketball or not- teachers too! There will be an
event raffle and prizes for the top fundraisers. Pick up a flyer at the front
desk and go to www.boyzabc.org and
register to participate! Have friends and family visit the website to sponsor
you. A very special guest, professional basketball player and Olympic Champion
Jennifer Azzi will be there and kick off our event. Let’s support everyone
impacted by breast cancer and help raise money for breast cancer research.
Students:
We will be holding a Fire Drill during Panther Time on Wednesday. You are
expected to follow all instructions given by your teachers and behave in a mature
and responsible manner throughout the drill.
Remember
to turn in your ballot for the California Young Reader Medal by
this Friday, March 30th. Students who vote for their favorite book will be
invited to a pizza party in the library.
Students
and Parents: We have a box full of keys, prescription glasses and other items
of value that have been left on campus. If you are missing something valuable,
please check at the front desk.
Attention all Basketball Team Members: Please turn in your uniform shorts and jersey to Ms. Palmer by this Friday, March 30th in order to have your deposit returned.
Our
Annual Go Green Challenge is here. Try to be a pro and win a GoPro. In
the next two weeks you can be entered into our GoPro drawing by getting your
stamp card stamped 4 times by going green to school. You can walk, bike, skate,
carpool, or take the bus, to go green. To receive your stamp go to the front of
school when you see student council waiting at the tables, playing music, and
ready to stamp those cards. We will have treats for all of those that
participate and go green. We will choose four random days so go green
each day of the week. Congrats to Reed Grenager for designing our Go Green
Challenge stamp card. See everyone out there.
It’s
Tuesday! That means Ipad Support is
available in the library from recess through lunch. Stop by to ask a question
or to get help with an ipad problem. And remember you can always email ipadsupport@mvschools.org for help!
GSA is having a special
meeting TODAY at lunch in the multimedia room! We will have our yearbook photo
taken and have a guest speaker from SPAHR telling us about a new GSA group in
Mill Valley.
