“Each day comes to me
with both hands full of possibilities.”
Many of you may have heard about ways that schools around the
country are sending messages of strength and unity to the students who survived
the recent shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland,
Florida. At this time, their school website states that these students
and staff would appreciate receiving banners with our well wishes to be
displayed around their campus.
At lunchtime every day from now until March 14, there will be a few classrooms open for students to go and create banners or signs for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School campus. Anyone interested is invited to come to room 20 (Lewczyk), 27 (Miller) or 29 (Front) TODAY at lunch and make signs that show support for and unity with these students. Teachers will collect your finished posters so that MVMS can send them all to Parkland, Florida after the National Walkout Day on March 14.
