"You have to accept whatever comes, and the important thing is that you meet it with courage and with the best that you have to give."

Attention 6th graders - There is no eating on, under, or around the play structure in the 6th grade area. You may eat your lunch at the tables, amphitheater, or on the grass - not anywhere near the play structure.

Students - Are you taking Chorus, Band, Orchestra, or Art this year? Have you done Dance or Yoga during P.E.?  Did you get Poetry, Shakespeare, or Greek Myths in Core? Then guess what?  You are a Kiddo! Kid. Remind your parents that Kiddo! Donation Day is coming up tomorrow Friday, May 6. There's even a drawing for grownup donors, with Giants tickets, Warriors stuff, art supplies, and more.  Plus, join in the fun as MVMS gets ready for Donation Day. Will there be donuts or stickers? Will there be musical acts? Will there be trained bears? Who knows? You’ll just have to see for yourself!

All 8th Graders going to Tam: Are you interested in applying for Leadership and making a difference on your new campus? Pick up an application in the front office this week! It's not too late to turn it in.

Student Council is hosting a children's book drive to help kids in need of books and education! Please donate gently used or new books that are at the 5th grade level or younger. Please bring the books to Ms.Thebaut’s room (room 92) or Mr. Doyle’s room (room 3) before or after school. The books will be sent to schools supported by The Book Project, which is based in San Francisco and helps to replenish libraries for schools and helps families in need. All books must be in good condition! Show your support by donating your gently used books so that all children have an opportunity to learn.  The Book Drive will end on May 13th so we have 2 weeks to make a difference in children's lives.

Sixth Graders.  Your A-TEAM applications are due by the end of tomorrow, but you are welcome to bring it by anytime today or tomorrow.  If you need applications, come see Mr. Schulman in Room 11.  Please bring them to the front desk.
