“Appreciation is a
wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well."
Students
please remember that Dress Code states that students are to dress
appropriately for the school environment. Pajama pants, off the shoulder
shirts, short shorts, very short skirts or dresses, or any clothing worn by any
student that exposes undergarments or midriffs are not allowed. Students not
within the dress code will be sent to the office to change, and disciplinary
action will be taken according to school policy, which could impact
participation in end of year activities.
Amazing results of the Championship Track Meet last Friday:
MVMS won 10 of the 70 events and had 36 students place in the top five out of
the 46 athletes who attended the championship meet. Here are the county
champions and their events:
Zach Weinfeld - 1st Place high jump
Caden Carney - 1st Place 600M
Otto Ryersen - 1st Place 1200M (third year in a row!)
Drake Miller - 1st Place high jump (highest jump for any
participant at the meet and he's only in 6th grade!)
Coed 4x400M Relay - 1st place (Otto Ryersen, Miles Gensler, Ariana
Greenberg, Yuna McCormack)
Brooke Gibson - 1st Place 100M
Adelle Cortis - 1st Place 200M

That makes 10 first place, 7 second place, 3 third place, 5 fourth
place and 6 fifth place finishes for the 2017 team! All 9 relay teams we sent
to the championship meet finished in the top 5 in the county!
