“Of all the [things] which belong to honorable people, not one is so highly prized as that of character."

Students, if you are going to arrive late to school, or leave early, you MUST bring a note signed by your parents to school with you explaining the reasons and timing of your absence. If you do NOT have a note with you, you may have to serve detention or you may be late leaving. The full procedure is on our website.

Students please remember that Dress Code states that students are to dress appropriately for the school environment. Pajama pants, off the shoulder shirts, short shorts, very short skirts or dresses, or any clothing worn by any student that exposes undergarments or midriffs are not allowed. Students not within the dress code will be sent to the office to change, and disciplinary action will be taken according to school policy, which could impact participation in end of year activities.

A big thank you to Ms. Varboncoeur and her fabulous Green Team for their amazing tree planting!  This group came in on the weekend and worked really hard creating a natural habitat around the creek that flows through our campus. It can now grow and re-establish a healthy vibrant ecosystem and it beautified our campus!  What a wonderful gift you have given all of us!

Writers!!!! Written compositions are now being accepted for the Memorial Day Writing Contest! Four finalists will get to read their pieces at the opening ceremony of the Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade and will also ride on the Stage Coach in the Parade! Submissions should be under 500 words in length and reflect on Memorial Day – your family’s personal attachment to the holiday, the history of it, or remembering those who have served our country. You may use any genre – poetry, essay, short story, whatever you choose. Please submit writing to nmiller@mvschools.org by Wednesday, May 17th.

Students, remember to bring your headphones to school with you every day and ensure your ipad is fully charged so that you can participate in testing over the next few weeks.

Attention 6th and 7th Graders! Have any great ideas for the cover of next year’s Yearbook? We want you to design it! Submit drawings of your idea to the bin outside room 10 in upper Earth. Remember to include your full name and grade level on the back. Submissions are due by Friday, May 19th. Questions? See Ms. Zeisler in room 10.

Students please power down your cell phones at this time.
