"Success doesn't come to you - you go to it."
It is tradition at MVMS for Spanish students to organize a Cinco de mayo bake
sale and… Cinco de mayo is right around the corner!
Next Tuesday during lunch, come buy treats baked by Señora Thebaut and Señora
Iyer’s Spanish classes. We will be set up outside the gym and everything
will be 1$. All proceeds benefit the Guatemalan Book Project, which is an organization that
supplies books for children in rural areas in Guatemala.
6TH GRADE MOVIE NIGHTS ARE COMING! Free movie, three Friday afternoons to choose from, a yummy bake sale raising money for good causes...You don't wanna miss this, 6th graders! Sign up with friends on the wall near the Earth Pods.
Attention Staff and
Students. Next Wednesday, May 6th, is National Bike to School Day.
Please do your best to bike or walk to school next Wednesday. Stop
on by the front of the school for treats and fun music. Show your Panther
Pride and Go Green!
The Lost and
Found is getting full again. There are wonderful warm and spring clothes there
and a variety of fascinating items such as shoes, boots, hats, bags, all kinds
of goodies. Stop by and retrieve your
missing possessions!
The library will be closed at lunch today, Friday, for the California Young Reader Medal pizza party.
For all students that
like sweet treats – Come to the 7th grade area for a bake sale! All
profits go to an organization in Uganda that helps prevent Malaria. This
is a World Savvy project so please come by and help! Thank you!
There is still time to complete your volunteer hours for MVMS's Community First Program. If you are still looking for opportunities to volunteer the Marin Human Race needs your help. The race is taking place Saturday, May 9th at the Marin Center Fairgrounds. For more information go to www.marinhumanrace.org. The deadline to complete your community service and submit your volunteer forms is June 1st.

Come on by to find out why you might love doing this. We’ll start
the meeting no later than 12:00. Feel free to bring your lunch with you.
