“America is never wholly
herself unless she is engaged in high moral principle. We as a people have such
a purpose today. It is to make kinder the face of the nation and gentler the
face of the world.”
Holiday
Wishes update:
We are almost
there! We need just 35 more gifts to meet our school goal of giving
almost 300 presents to our community based agencies for the holidays. We
still need gifts for Homeward Bound, the primary local provider of services for
the homeless, including housing, training and hope. Thank you for your
generosity MVMS!
Join us this Saturday, December 8th, where MVMS
students are invited to come with their parents to MVMS Library to a holiday wrapping and
card making part ! It will start at 9 am. Please join your
principal, assistant principal and many students, and parents creating art
work, signing cards and wrapping presents!
Students,
we are expecting rain this week and it is expected to be cold. If it is raining, students will be allowed
into the building after 8:20am to wait quietly in the designated hallways until
the bell rings for class. You should avoid arriving earlier than 8:20am.
Basketball News: The 8th grade boys
roster is posted across from the library and there is a mandatory meeting for
the 8th grade boys team in the gym TODAY at 3pm.
Students please power
down the cell phones and other personal electronics now and leave them off for
the school day.
