“Our flag is red,
white and blue, but our nation is a rainbow- red, yellow, brown, black and white…
America is not like a blanket- one piece of unbroken cloth, the same color, the
same texture, the same size. America is more like a quilt- many patches, many
pieces, many colors, many sizes, all woven and held together by a common
thread. All of us count and all of us fit somewhere.”
A great big shout out to all the students
who created a valentine for a veteran as part of the Valentines for Vets
program. Over the three days you created over 150 beautifully decorated cards with
heartfelt notes that are sure to brighten the day of every recipient. Great job
Students!
