Sixth Graders, listen up. Tomorrow, Friday, January 30, is the sixth grade dance from 7-8:30.  All you need is your student ID, $10, and yourselves, to come to the gym.  There will be food, a fantastic DJ, some dedicated WEB leaders, and a whole lot of good fun. You must be in school tomorrow to attend the dance.

Attention MVMS students and staff.  In order to celebrate the upcoming Super Bowl we will be having a Sports Day tomorrow, January 30.  We encourage you to dress in support of any sports team that you like.  The teams can be professional (such as the Cowboys, Raiders, 49er's, Warriors, Sharks, Lakers, A's, Giants, etc.) or college, or perhaps your own team that you play for. The joy of this day is you can celebrate any sport and any team you'd like. So show your Panther Pride and come dressed to impress on Friday with your favorite sport being celebrated.

Attention sixth graders!  This Friday is the WEB dance from 7:00-8:30pm.  You must be in school on Friday to attend the dance.

Hello MVMS students!!!! YOU are invited you to participate in Khan Academy’s first ever LearnStorm. From mid-February through April 30th you will be able to earn points and unlock prizes for your school, your city, and yourself by practicing math skills on Khan Academy. The challenge is completely free for everyone - the more students that sign up and practice the better our school will do.

LearnStorm is also designed to help you learn to learn. Throughout the challenge you will gain points for both achievement and for showing persistence and grit. Each week you will receive a fun optional challenge designed to help build a growth mindset. Your challenge awaits! It’s time to defend MVMS on the leaderboards! WEB Leaders: Many of you need to pick up check-in forms so that you can touch base with the sixth graders you didn’t get to last Thursday.  Come to Mr. Schulman’s room 11 to get those as soon as you can. 

Today is the last day to apply for the Eco Top Chef! The application is available on Ms. Zeisler's website.

Are you interested in helping the environment? Are you looking for volunteer hours?  If so, check out the flyer outside Mrs. Meyers' office door. There is a great opportunity to help clean up Muir Woods on Saturday, January 31, that ends with a hot chili lunch!

Do You Enjoy Playing Golf? If you already play golf, have your own clubs and would like to represent MVMS in the Marin County Middle School Golf League this Spring this is your opportunity!  The Middle School Golf League is great preparation for those interested in playing golf in high school.  To find out more, come to an informational meeting at lunchtime today, Friday, in the Conference Room. Interested students, parents and guardians are welcome.
