Attention sixth graders!  This Friday is the WEB dance from 7:00-8:30pm.  You must be in school on Friday to attend the dance.

Hello MVMS students!!!! YOU are invited you to participate in Khan Academy’s first ever LearnStorm. From mid-February through April 30th you will be able to earn points and unlock prizes for your school, your city, and yourself by practicing math skills on Khan Academy. The challenge is completely free for everyone - the more students that sign up and practice the better our school will do.

LearnStorm is also designed to help you learn to learn. Throughout the challenge you will gain points for both achievement and for showing persistence and grit. Each week you will receive a fun optional challenge designed to help build a growth mindset. Your challenge awaits! It’s time to defend MVMS on the leaderboards! To register, go to  http://www.khanacademy.org/learnstorm Registration for LearnStorm 2015 opened on January 15th, 2015 and LearnStorm will run from mid-February through the end of April, with a final, in-person celebratory event in May.

Cabaret rehearsal today from 3-5pm for Candy store cast, Narrators, main kids and parents, Mr and Mrs Bucket and grandparents All Oompas, Wonka, and Charlie.  All Cabaret cast, crew, and talent acts - if you have not turned in your yellow form to Ms. Nicholson, you MUST do so ASAP.

Last chance to order your yearbooks! Deadline to order is January 31st, if you haven't already ordered a yearbook please go to http://www.jostens.com! If you need to write check please go to the office and pick up an order form! 

Mathletes Club will be meeting today in room 40 at lunchtime.  See the results from the last meet.   As usual, bring your lunch and enthusiasm!

   

Attention WEB leaders who are helping with the 6th grade dance: There will be a mandatory meeting at lunch TODAY on the stage. If you are not sure if you were picked to help with the 6th grade dance, check your email and look at the WEB bulletin board next to the copy room for the list of helpers."
