Graders who applied to Tam’s AVID Program, please return all
applications to the front desk.
This Friday the Beyond Differences Club will be
hosting our annual No One Eats Alone Day in the gym at lunch. We
want to challenge all of you to step outside your traditional comfort zone and
move beyond our differences to learn how we are all connected. We want
you to invite others to sit with you or you go sit with another group. We
also want to be sure that no student eats alone so remember to look around and
be sure that everyone is included and no one is excluded. 7th and 8th
graders, you probably remember the Beyond Differences’ presentation
about social isolation and how it impacts students around the world. We are a
community and all interconnected. Sometimes we let our differences stand
between us. This Friday we are going to be a true community and bridge the gap
between groups, reach out to those classmates who you may never have talked to
before, maybe eat lunch with someone in a different grade and get to know
someone new. Bring your lunch and come play some games, listen to music, and
hang out with someone new! We will provide cookies. If you’re eating, playing
or just hanging out on the yard, be sure to mix it up out there too and eat
with someone new! And remember that this Friday - NO ONE EATS ALONE!
